Fastest digital camera

by hossola / January 27, 2009 10:32 AM PST

I am searching out the fastest digital camera. This is from turning the camera on to snapping the first photo. I am not looking for a DSLR. Simply a mid range priced hand held. Something similar to a Nikon S610. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks,

That 880 is a very nice camera. Do you know of anything a little cheaper. It just needs to be fast, not necessarily the fastest.

Kodak cameras are the fastest. Not only the boot-up time counts but also the time to focus, process light input and capture the picture. Kodak has been involved in film industry for a long time as well as their technological advances in spy satellites allow for the fastest image acquisition.

Good old Kodak is your friend.
