Faster Uploading

Apr 26, 2008 7:44AM PDT

How can I speed up my upload speed whether a faster processor, more memory? I have 6kps from AT&T. We do a lot of uploading in my office and it can take an hour or more for one uploading session.

is controlled by AT&T, not by your PC. What type of connection do you have?

I have an ATT connection, DSL, 6.0 per second

That explains it all.

My Verizon DLS upload speed would hover around the speed you noted. Didn't they tell you this?

I totally understand the upload speed is much slower than the download speed. I just wondered if there was something I could do other than getting a T1 line to make it faster, ie. faster processor, etc. Thanks for your input

That's about all I would get with their package. You can pay for faster packages...

Is the key work here. DSL, which is an analog signal, and is the same as cable, has two speeds. High download and slow upload. It's the nature of the beast. If you need higher upload speed you need to contact AT&T. And bring money.
