Fast download

May 9, 2008 8:37AM PDT

Hi, I am having some issues with my download speed on comcast (not talking about bittorrent). On speedtest.net I always test fast at around 11Mbps. When I actually download my speeds vary between 150KB-250KB. Could someone provide me to a download with a very fast server or explain to me why else my internet might be so slow?

50 is about right for the usual DSL.

That's 50 kilobytes per second. About as fast as can be expected on most DSL.

For 2Mbps you should get around 200KBps max from what i understand

Correct.

And the usual 768 Kb or 640 Kb gets the 50 KB as noted. Look at the original poster's post and you see some omissions.

Could you reword that? He said that he has 2Mbps service so he should get over 200KB per second but he is getting 50KB/ps, I am not sure what you mean.

Nowhere is the speed of the service specified. You and I will have to guess about it.

Do you have a question for me?
