Farzana Hassan, advocates banning the Burka.

The Agenda, a very good Ontario public TV program interviewed.

Islam, Women, and the Challenges of Today is her book.

Apparently there is no actual statement in the Q'ran prescribing the covering of the hair or face. It is all later addition by subsequent Islamic leaders.

She complains about the ignoring of the opinions of Moderate Women in the MSM here in Canada, and I suspect equally in the US.

The Conservative Muslim community is virulently intolerant of attitudes like this.
