The wall.
Mexico is going to pay for it.
That did not seem to work out very well.

Tariffs.
China is paying.

The Don.
Talks with China continue in a very congenial manner - there is absolutely no need to rush - as Tariffs are NOW being paid to the United States by China of 25% on 250 Billion Dollars worth of goods & products. These massive payments go directly to the Treasury of the U.S...

Does the Don really believe that or is that the conman/salesman talking?

Related story.

A government official just admitted that consumers are or will be paying the tariffs in the form of necessary price hikes by sellers.

Election

I don't pretend to know what China is going to do.

Perhaps just let it ride out until the next election and see if the Don gets tossed out on his ear.

If the trade war/easy to win is still going come next election that's not going to be much of a selling point for the Don.

Sort of like raising taxes and expecting voters to vote for you.

Sense....nope

The Don was trained or learned that you can just make up stuff and BS your way through life.

Tariffs

How the USA obtained revenue prior to Wilson's administration of getting an Income Tax Law passed. Nothing unusual about it.

It goes back further.

I've said before that Kees and Dafydd are the ones to ask. Both their countries were hip deep in tariffs for centuries, along with the accoutrements like corrupt port officials, smuggling etc. I think Dafydd could curl our hair with tales from western Wales and Cornwall. Pirates of Penzance had a theme familiar to its audience.
