Fan Noise too loud

by OnionMan / June 18, 2005 3:27 AM PDT

Hello. Any suggestions on how I can easily cut down on my fan noise? It sounds like there is a lawn mower in here. Please tell me I can just buy a new fan for my processor... or maybe it's the PSU that's so loud. Thanks!

control your fan speeds or buy a new fan your choice. i run mine at max all time so i don't care for noise.

fan is making too much noise. Make certain that the tip of a blade isn't hitting something, or any debris is in the fan.

Remember high rpm is frequently needed to cool very hot running CPU's.

if your computer is older, try buying new fans. newer ones are always quieter than the orignal. power supply noise, if it is, go enermax or antec, they make the quietest. it might possibly/probably is your cpu fan.

i also agree with speedfan, this program is awesome. i use it on my machine to keep it quiet when i leave it on at night. results may vary.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
