Since you've not told us anything about the computer brand name or processor type or chipset type, there's not much more we can provide.. In addition "but has trouble installing it" isn't very definitive.. The EXACT error message might help.
Try visiting the the chipset manufacturer's website or the computer manufacturer's site and check for the updated driver.

I have a Vista machine that will not recognise all USB devices properly. It recognises the printer just fine but it refuses to work with the USB wireless network adapter (this has worked on this machine up until recntly). When I try to update the driver it says it can find it but has trouble installing it. I've tried fresh installs of the software too.
It also won't recognise USB flash drives or USB external har drives (I've not tried to use any specific drivers for these as they shouldn't be needed and I don't have any).
If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them, thanks.
