failing Toshiba Satellite hard drive

I have a Toshiba Satellite T130-13L and the hard drive has is failing I am thinking of replacing it with an SSD has anybody some helpful tips that would help me i.e. best drive to go for (certainly not Toshiba)
and also any tips on transferring or cloning the info on the existing drive over to the new one

A lot of models, Crucial, SanDisk, Silicon Power, and unlike the early days, the problem is you asked for "best."

Oh, I used Samsung models too. The best would be the Pro models in each make and to cloning some come with kits, some don't. I have had great luck using the Apricom USB 3.0 cable and their software (see google/amazon.)

thank you everybody I bought a 240 gig Samsung drive as the computer is being gifted to my Grand Daughter, and I thought that that was big enough the cloning is happening as we speak so I am sorted thanks

At the office we've been gifting out old machines (all gone now) and for 30 dollars we pop in 120GB SSDs to get the machines to perform like new machines (with SSD.)

But we're cheap and can only get ourselves to part with so much.

Point? 240GB is a great size to work with.
