Resolved Question

Failed to connect Wii with Samsung HDTV 720P

Aug 10, 2011 10:05AM PDT

I bought the Wii from London UK. Now I am in Canada.
I purchased a component cable for Wii to connect to HDTV. But when I connected, I am not getting any picture instead I am getting resolution is not supported by TV.

Please let me know how to solve the issue.

It's usually because the signal is PAL.

You can buy PAL to NTSC convertors but for game machines this is a poor choice. I'd say to bite the bullet and get another Wii but add more advice and see if Nintendo rolls out a new HD Wii by Christmas.

Thank You. I think I should think of PSP or Nintendo DS which doesn't have this problem.

Thnaks once again.

The days of PAL NTSC will be with us for awhile.

HDMI did help (and it does have it's own new pack of troble.)
