factory reset

Hi, I am trying to reset to factory without a disk, I have a dell 32 bit 2 gig memory windows 7 ultimate, I tried to tap f8 select the proper section but when I get to system restore it does not give me any option but restore to a previous date, I need to reset to factory. what am I doing wrong?

I know they have Vista on digital river so ask Dell if they have 7 on Digital River.

Read the fine manual.
The procedure for using the recovery partition seems to float.

Also be aware that the recovery partition seems to be kind of a fragile thing.
Meaning that even if you do everything proper it may not function.

Have a chat with Dell.....maybe you can buy the recovery media for a few bucks.
