Question

Factory reset

I have a tablet which has 16GB of internal memory. My sd memory card slot was damaged and I have no external memory. I am at the point where my internal memory is low. I have an up coming vacation and want to use the table to take pictures and record video. I am considering backing up my current data and apps and doing a factory reset. After doing the reset I will only install apps that I will use on the vacation. After transferring all pictures and video to a PC I would like to do a restore to the system configuration I had before Factory reset. Are there any foreseeable problems with this scenario?

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'd make other plans.

The number of posts about such tablets are many thousand. Also I find very few can get back to the prior configuration. But hey, you may be the one.

get new tablet

to answer your question, even if you backup your tablet there will be issues. you may not get all your apps back, may have to reorganize and may have to reconfigure some things. I very seldom use a backup. I always use the time to fix things I did not like before, to try out other features, and to learn a bit more about the tablet. I sometimes find new features I did not know about.

one thing, you still will not have much space for pictures if your tablet only has 16 gigs since a good portion of it will be the android os.

There will be some problems

As I know you can't back up all your apps and data. Also, it is hard to go back to the prior configurations.
