As I read http://phandroid.com/2015/02/19/how-to-facetime-on-android-alternatives/ I get the feeling there's a way to make video calls to and from your Apple iPhone friends.
What do you think?
I can't switch to iPhone because I'm too used to Android and would miss the flexibility that Android gives me.
But I know too many people who use iOS/iPhone and I also use a Mac.
I need to be able to Facetime when out and about and I'm stuck when deciding on my options:
1) Use an old 4th generation iPod tethered to my Android phone. Pros: cheap, usable and functional; Cons: battery hungry tethering, small iPod battery
2) Buy/use an iPhone SE with a second SIM card. Pros: powerful, doesn't sap Android battery; Cons: relatively expensive to buy iPhone SE, need second SIM (monthly fee and relatively expensive data), not using iPhone SE to the full.
3) Buy a new generation iPod. Pros: powerful, multiple uses including iOS apps; Cons: saps Android battery when tethering
4) Use iPhone as primary device and tether Android device to iPhone. Pros: Can access Facetime and Hangouts on one device; Cons: seems stupid to have two fully functional devices with one as a slave.
