Clarification Request
Since Windows 7 has no Facebook icon
Jun 24, 2014 3:35AM PDT

This sounds like another issue. Desktop icons and shortcuts can fail so why not create a new icon?

That is, there is no Facebook app (that works) on Windows so why not use a browser and bookmark the facebook web page?

Windows 7 Has No Facebook Icon ?
Jun 25, 2014 6:55AM PDT

Thank you so much for the reply, Bob. I'll do exactly that. Repair Shop had put an Icon on my old XP desktop, and it kept working for Win 7 for a little over 3 months. But I do have it bookmarked in Firefox, I think, and maybe can also do that in Chrome. Thanks again, Leslie B.

That's clearer.

I can't guess why it stopped but given all the security updates one could break such a shortcut. Good to read you know how to get back to where you want to go.

Updates Could Break Desktop Icon?
Jun 25, 2014 8:25AM PDT

So that's how it's become disconnected from FB. BTW, I did click the ThumbsUp, both times, but first one doesn't work, at least for this computer. The fonts seem smaller when I have to use Google Chrome to get there, or Firefox Bookmarks. So you can't really download the ones that are advertized? Does Windows 8 have any Desktop Icons? Thanks again.

I see what you mean they're all over the map, lol, but at least now I know it's everyone's problem, and I'll get used to it. Thanks again. Leslie B.
