Facebook, GroupOn, etc. - outsourcing human functions?...

Facebook, GroupOn, etc. - outsourcing human functions?...

General curiosity - if fire allowed for humans to "outsource" pre-digestive duties of the human body...it seems that Facebook, Groupon, and other social media are useful tools, but do they actually outsource any particular of the typical human experience function? Maybe it's a blend of outsourcing and increasing one's social capability/reach/effectiveness?

Best,
Shalin

P.S. - Nice to be back asking these questions here Happy
