facebook browsing

have an older dell dimension 2400. has the most memory it can accept. the slowest times of browsing in on facebook. anything i could do with an older computer to speed it up on facebook?

Hi alanb6,

As R. Proffitt suggested, did you try a different browser (Chrome/Firefox)? You may try the steps mentioned in This article and see if it helps.

dell dimension 2400. intel (R) celeron (R) cpu 2.40 GHz 2.39 GHz 2.00GB of RAM.

i thought while i was asking. why does internet explorer run so slow. it's like waiting on dialup. it has ie 8 and the message always comes up saying i can update it to ie8. i usually use opera it is faster. we also have firefox & google chrome and they all seem slow on facebook.
