Question

Face book members in my Contacts using Windows Live mail.??

May 26, 2013 4:24AM PDT

How did all of these Face Book people get into my Contact list? They were mixed in with my Email accounts.

There is a folder called Social Networks. Ever since this happened it seems I'm sending emails out that I know I didn't send.

I would like to remove this "Social Network" but can find no answers anywhere. Would I have to go to Face Book and tick something there?? Or just delete the account!

Answer
It appears MSFT is (overly) trying to be helpful.

You may be right but doesn't this open us up for viruses?? I think I was hacked. My email has been sending out who knows what to people in my account. It looks like the only way to stop this is to go to a Yahoo email.

In my opinion.

I agree with you. This rush to add social to everything is quite the craze.

I use other than Live email for the email app. If you ask the mods here, you may hear the same. Thunderbird seems to be a common app for many.
