FABULOUS EXPERIENCE WITH MOZILLA FIREFOX 3.6!

by wheelwinner / January 28, 2010 1:14 AM PST

Hi all ~

I was experiencing all kinds of browser problems ... especially trying to type an email could take forever. I was using both Explorer and/or Google Chrome.

I have a 6 month old Dell Inspiron i545-3236 which I recently upgraded to WIN 7 PREMIUM HOME EDITION (was free from Dell).

I went to CNET and read all the reviews on the browsers and decided to uninstall the others AFTER I downloaded FF3.6 (I actually decided to leave Explorer as a backup).

THE CHANGE IS AMAZING!!!!! The browser is lightening fast and so far I haven't encountered a single glitch. Now I'm an old lady, so some of this is a little daunting for me to do (believe it kids!) but I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I can make something work out.

I wanted to share something good for a change instead of always running to all of you with my problems.

SO THANKS EVERYONE ... you teach me so much!!!!!

Hi Grammy, and thank you for your words.

Glad to see you are enjoying Firefox so much, and I hope your good experience continues.

I've been using Firefox for quite a while now, and have had few problems.

Good luck.

Mark

OLDER VERSIONS CAUSED PROBLEMS

Hi Mark,

I use FF on my laptop almost exclusively and it's fine (about a yr old ACER running Vista 64). But when I tried to use it on this new Dell, it bombed everything so I uninstalled it. I'm finding 3.6 is like nothing I've ever used before. I needed this ... there have been way too many problems with this computer ... swore I'd never buy Dell again but I DID!

I hope that WIN7 "speaks FF 3.6's language" and it only goes forward gracefully from here. I'm telling all my friends of my experience. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing with me.
