Feb 22, 2014 4:37AM PST

For some reason, and this is the second time in a week, this has happened, my F: drive has disappeared on my desktop. So I put DVD in and nothing happens. My "devices and drives" only shows my C: drive and my Cloud photos. Frustrating doesn't being to describe what I'm feeling. Anybody help?

From old hardware to loose cables. Too little detail to start but in short, something of a recurring issue with PCs.

The computer was purchased in May, 2013 so it is not old.

I can't tell if it's desktop/laptop etc.

I dropped a hint on cables. Most destops use cables with no retainers (even that may not help) so I always try the old remove power, open and gently push all connections home.
