EZ Backup Incredimail (IM) Pro

Aug 30, 2012 3:36AM PDT

Folks: I have been using CNET for years but have never taken the time to post until today. I just wanted to mention my success with an outstanding backup program for Incredimail.

I have been very happy with Incredimail 2.0 (not 2.5) and so my IM Identity file is about 10 GB's in size; essentially 9 years worth of our lives as it relates to E-Mail. So last week I finally made the switch to Windows 7, 64 bit. Yup, I was one of those "XP Holdouts.", but finally had to switch because my video editing software runs way better with 16 GB'/64 bit rather than 3 GB's/32 bit.

I'd like to think that I'm pretty good with OS's and manipulating data, but after I went to re-import my Incredimail Identity, it was a mess. Because of the way Incredimail stores it's data and Identities, there is no easy way to fully restore anything using the Incredimail routines, especially an Identity in excess of 4 GB's. So I started looking for solutions on the web, and about 3 pages down in a Google search found EZ Backup for IM Pro. (http://download.cnet.com/EZ-Backup-IncrediMail-Pro/3000-2242_4-10391711.html) Well, it worked, just as advertised, which is saying a lot these days for many on-line advertised programs billed a "quick fix."

Even though I will probably only need to use it for changing to a different OS, it's the best $15 that I have EVER spent for anything related to a computer! One look at any of the Incredimail user forums, or other popular user forums will tell you that there is a lot of frustration over the restoring of IM Identities.
EZ Backup Incredimail Pro is a product that really works!
