Eye strain after watching UA46D7000

by new2samsung / July 3, 2011 11:22 AM PDT

I have been using a Plasma TV until I "upgraded" to a Samsung 46D7000 2 weeks ago. The picture quality and color are simply outstanding but I also noticed two problem areas:

1. Eye strain
2. There seems to be some "ghosting" perhaps due to a slow refresh rate? Could this be the cause for 1?

I have goggled as much as I can but have yet to find the "optimal settings" for this model. I guess I could call local Samsung support but I feel that they may not do much for a "fussy customer".

Hence I am turning to this Forum for help.

Thanks

You go see your eye doctor. Could be simple or serious.

The situation improved somewhat after putting the picture mode to MOVIE, turning off all the noise reduction features, and using custom settings for the motion plus option (judder at 9, and blur at 0). I will go over to the Picture Settings forum for more pointers. Thanks

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
