Kindly re-post at CNET's MP3 player forum:
Hi! I am posting here because the monkeys at the ipodlounge.com forums were of no help whatsoever.
I have an iPod 20GB B/W with the Click Wheel on it. Anyway, I plugged in my iPod to iTunes one day on my PC, and with no warning at all, erased all 18GB of my music. Such a rubbish program that is.
Anyway, I was able to acquire a copy of FTK Imager, and I made an 18GB .RAW image rip from the iPod's internal hard drive, however, I go ahead and recover a small section of the .RAW image, I convert it to .mp3, and all the songs are out of order and one of them ends abruptly.
How do I restore the file structure of a .RAW image so that all of the filenames are returned to every file?
