Extract files from screensavers

Feb 8, 2005 10:51AM PST

I have a few screensavers that I want to extract the pictures out of. One of the files that the screensavers use is a .msf file. My guess is that the pictures are embedded into this .msf file. Does any one know of a way of extracting files from one of these .msf files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not unless you can decompile the program

And I don't think that is possible once it has been compiled.

Have you tried using the PrintScreen key on your keyboard for each image as it is displayed.

You can install better clipboard programs that will allow you to save multiple images to te clipboard whilst the screensaver is running, then paste each copy into an imaging program like Paint.

Thanks for that. I thought that I would probably have to use the Print Screen key or Snagit to get the pictures. I was just interested to see if there was a program that could do it.
