Unfortunately, USB external drives are not the most reliable of devices.. After checking the drive on another computer, I then make sure I plug the drive into one of the USB ports on the BACK of the computer instead of the front port, just to make sure it's not a port issue..

and does not show up in the "My Computer" list nor the Device Manager list.
Tried re-connecting using this procedure - Turned computer off, disconnected from external drive the power cable and USB cable, rebooted the computer, connected power cable to external drive and then connected the USB cable. No luck.
Your help will be appreciated.
