Also, I don't see the full model number. There are trailing alphabet letters after the model you gave.
Look up the manual or ask Samsung or the seller if the volume is controlled if you connect to the headphone jack or other. Since I have an incomplete model, my answer is incomplete (sorry about that.)
As to your Soundconnect, yes, Samsung does have models that only connect to Samsung speaker systems. The reasons are that volume control over Bluetooth was proprietary. So Samsung tried to fill a void here.
Hi All
I have a Samsung UE40JU7000 smart TV and I would like to improve the sound. I'm not interested in big 5 speaker surround systems with subwoofer units, and sound bars/plates wont fit with my set up.
What I ideally want is a pair of good old-fashioned stereo active bookshelf speakers, preferably where the TV sound is transmitted to them wirelessly.
Does anyone know of any reasonably priced solutions of that ilk?
A better-than-nothing second choice would be some kind of single bluetooth speaker with a reasonable power output, however according to the manual in the section "Listening to TV sound through a Samsung Bluetooth audio device" it says "This function is only available for Samsung audio devices that support TV SoundConnect". Is that really true or can you use any bluetooth speaker? (I don't want to spend money on one to find out it doesn't work).
Thanks
