Question

External HDD - Disk unallocated

May 17, 2017 1:39PM PDT

My -WD MYPASSPORT 500GB- is invisible and shows up as Unallocated in Disk Management!!! How to make it visible/restore ??

Earlier When I Plug-in, On My computer(Win 7 OS) it used to show two drives - one system allocated(600MB) for WDSmartWare Software - other (465MB)

I copy important files to be backed up into other(4654MB) drive directly, I don't use WDSmart software to backup.
All of a sudden, few days back the other drive was not visible at all.

When i check using computer management ->Disk management It shows up as unallocated drive

How to restore it and get back my precious data??

First, you prepare for this with Backup copies.

Your post does not make sense.
You start with a 600MB drive and a 465MB drive.
Then you talk about copying stuff to a 4654MB drive.

Rewrite your post and pay attention to the numbers.
