SIXPACK it and then run CHKDSK. Hope for the best.

My external harddrive is a 250gig SimpleTech SimpleDrive. It is connected to an A75 satalite Laptop with Windows XP home. It has the following problems
Delayed write failure for file E:\$Mft
Delayed write failure for file E:\.
Delayed write failure for insert name of file you are trying to open
Generic Device cannot be stopped *cannot safely remove hardware*
Cannot delete file, it is currently in use *hey no, that file hasn't been used in 2 months or more*
Will complete a Checkdisk as long as you don't ask it to fix the errors, it will not proceed to phase 4 in the normal tools box, and will claim it doesn't have enough space when running a chkdsk r in the command window to replace the bad cluster *there are 69.7 gig taken and 163 gig free at the moment*
It all started when mutorrent was attempting to download a 60 gig file to this drive. The whole setup had a critical system error related to the network and my wireless network card. AFter that I deleted the torrent, but these issues continued to show up. I have no clue how to fix this. If anyone has suggestiongs, I appreciate them and I can try and give more information if it is necessary.
Thank you so much
