external hard drive question

Hi

I am thinking about buying an external hard drive to store websites I am building. I wanted to put Photoshop, Dreamweaver and a few other software programs onto it along with all the website files. Will i need to install windows and the broadband connection again to do this as i will going to publish straight from the external, which would mean my computer hard drive is totally free from all the website programs and files?

as long as you have the programs you mentioned an the "host" computer, they will access the external HD with no problems...
