External hard drive not working :(

Hi Guys!

Had bought 250 gb iomega external drive couple of weeks back and that seems to have been working fine for a while, but now the hard drive is not getting recognized on machine, tried attaching it to couple of other systems as well but it doesn't seem to work.

Any clues or pointers for what could be the problem or possible solution?

What type of external drive ?

...one of a HD inside an USB "external case" ? Then open up to check for loose connecting cables or a loose "jumper" which should be at "Master". Check also the power supply connecttions.
