Extending wireless network via laptop

My MacBook Pro doesn't get receive wifi very well in my office, but my partners PC laptop does. I know there is a way to set up internet sharing so that the PC shares its internet connection to my laptop, but I do not know how to do this. Anyone have an idea?

I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8, he has XP.

Why Not Use A High-Gain Antenna?

There are sites with instructions on how to create such for free.. A little more gain on the antenna, at either the router end, or on your computer end, or both, and you should be able to pick up the signal without having to stay "tied" to someone else's machine.
