Extend screen across Laptop and external LCD

Mar 2, 2005 11:19PM PST

I have a laptop (Presario 3240) and an extra LCD screen. I want to "extend" my screen across both the laptop monitor and the LCD monitor. It does not support this (I can only see the same image on both, not an extended desktop). Is there any card I could buy that would enable this?

This may be an option

I have an old PC laying around the office, I may be able to make this work.....thanks for the heads up. I would prefer the easier route of plugging some type of video card but if there is not way then this will work.

Thanks again for the quick response, just found these forums, nice Happy.

THIS IS GREAT

What a FANTASTIC bit of software! THANKS so much for the heads up. I dusted off an old PII 400 piled in some RAM and it is running my second monitor like a CHAMP! I am gonna put another monitor on the other side keeping all my important programs up at all times....can't believe I don't read more about this - it has such a little footprint and with the lack of real horsepower for laptops and video cards this is a great alternative.

Thanks again Proffitt.
