Assuming the monitor has a video input that matches a video output on the laptop (like VGA, HDMI, Displayport, I've never seen a laptop with DVI) there should be no problem at all. Just plug in and tell Windows (via Windows-key + P) to use it.
i have laptop aspire a715-71g and i am planning to buy monitor (aoc g2260vwq6), but i have no idea if i this monitor is capable to my laptop or no, is this decrease my laptop performence and battery time or this is working fine, i want to play games on monitor as this monitor have 1ms response and bigger screen but i read on some forums external monitor lag on games when connect to the laptop and this moniotr not using nvidia gpu, this is using only intergeted gpu, mostly game i paly on my laptop hit 60fps so if i want to connect external monitor to my laptop but i dont know i will get the same fps or no. i am higly appricated if someone help me for my question. sory for my bad english this is not my native language.
