express card slot

My dell laptop came with an express card slot. I have a Sprint broadband card that fits a pc card slot. Sprint say's they don't know when Novell will have a express card. Is there anything that plugs up to a usb port that will still let me connect to mobile broadband ? Like a external card reader or something.
