Explorer Window Size

Feb 6, 2004 3:52PM PST

Hi

I am using windows internet explorer version 6.0.2800.1106

When I open a explorer window it is not openong at full size, but as a small box which I then have to maximise. It's not a big problem but it is driving me nuts.
Is there any setting I can tweak that will open this window in full.

Thanks
Carl

Try:

1. Right-click on that IE icon then select "Properties"

2. In a drop-down selection of the "Run:" command, select "Maximize"

3. Click on the "Apply" button then "OK" out.

Carl, Here's a method that works most of the time.
Right click the shortcut icon for IE next to the Start button, choose Properties, change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'. Now open it.
Now right click any link on the page, choose Open In New Window....don't maximize it....instead, use the mouse to resize it to what you want it to be.
Now close the FIRST window you opened, and then close the new one you just resized.

Reopen IE from the shortcut icon again, and all windows from now on will be the size you chose and created.

HTH,
Larry

First I want to thank Chart for making this post. I had this same situation and was looking for the fix. And thank you, Larry... your method worked for me also.

Have a great day!
