explorer question?

how do i keep sites that have been visited from showing up in the search box? when i punch one letter, a whole list of sites come up? i got this computer from a friend. (lots of adult sites) i have children.

2. Internet Explorer 5 and 6 turns on the AutoComplete feature by default for Web Addresses (URLs typed in the Address bar) and that entries are recorded in the system registry for the user account with which logged on to [Q217148], discusses how its features work, and how to turn it on or off:
