Explorer has caused an errior in KERNEL32.DLL

Dec 9, 2003 4:28AM PST

Windows ME
Charter Cable internet

When trying to go to mail.charter.net to check my email I get "explorer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL - try restart" Restart does not help. I called the support people at Charter and was told that it was a pc problem and they could not help...

I also recieved a message while trying to trouble shoot this problem... Error in C:\Windows\System\shimgvw.dll Missing entry: imageview_fullscreen

When trying to open Kernel32 to see what it is I recieved this msg... could not open Kernel32.dll b/c it is either not a supported file type or b/c it was corrupted (for examp, it was sent as an email attachment and wasnt correctly decoded)

any suggestions or more info that you need to answer this questions???

I went to the Spybot site that was posted. There were 3 differ sources to download. Which one is preferred?

Three random mirror sites to spread the download load around...

They all have the same file. Pick a site, any site. The current list includes a German site so I would go for one of the American sites (unless you happen to live in Europe). A minute before, all three sites were American.
