Explorer Bars Monitor Change ??

Oct 4, 2005 2:28PM PDT

Using win xp home sp2, Mozill and McAfee AntiSpyware 2.0.

Just got a popup from McAfee AntiSpyware showing the following in the event log ...

"Internet Explorer - Explorer Bars Monitor Change"

I don't have a clue what that means, appreciate any help.

Thanks

Ben

I used to have McAfee AntiSpyware (1.0 for a short time) and never saw that one. In fact, the error/notification isn't listed on McAfee's website, and couldn't be found in a general web search. I'd suggest getting a straight answer from the horse's mouth by clicking here, selecting ''Antispyware 2'' and ''Error messages'' from the left, clicking ''no...contact a live technician,'' then scrolling down to ''free internet chat.'' Just make sure you disable any/all pop-up blockers first. You can also access their forums by clicking here.

Hope this helps,
John

Maybe McAfee barred another program from taking over McAfee's duties to monitor Internet Explorer changes (changing default homepage, adding favorites, etc.).
