Experience the politicians.............

Feb 14, 2004 6:25AM PST

.......not just those in office, but also those contesting for your vote. Not just
those wanting to go to Wash DC, but those at your local level also. Get the
full flavor of the individual. Don't depend upon the sound bites from TV, or
the biased article in the print media. There are opportunities to see and hear
these individuals in person, without having to pay a ransom for the priviledge.
See all the sights, not just the political choice of the moment. That other person
may have something to tell you that you haven't heard before. Just don't allow
yourself to be overwhelmed by the personality of the moment. Listen and look
at all of the choices, then make an informed choice.

Here is a clip we put together a couple of years ago, in another election year,
and although it is of the President's visit to my area, it can demonstrate the point
of seeing things in person.

Dear Del, Very interesting but couldn't help noticing that tickets for 12 thousand sold out in six hours. Tickets for our main football teams with stadium size of around 70,000 sell out in half an hour. Just an observation - but a surprising one don't you think?
