We also detail how to use a router as a WAP at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7589_102-0.html?forumID=62&threadID=264135&messageID=2754854&tag=forums06;posts#2754854
Ok here is my problem:
I have a wireless network set up with a dlink DIR-625. The router is set up on my upper level and the signal doesn't reach my basement where I have only one Ethernet cable, I need three for my desktop PC and two PS3s. I want to get a device that I could plug my ethernet cable into and have it send out a wireless network signal or something that would increase the signal that I was receiving in my basement. I looked at the range boosters that dlink offers but it seems that after reading the description it would just plug into my PC and that would be the only device receiving a signal boost. I also looked into a t-splitter for my ethernet cable, but from what I have read it seemed that it may be unreliable. Any help or suggestions for my situation would be much appreciated.
