Excell copy paste files

Oct 30, 2005 8:47PM PST

I need to know how can I convert a spreadsheet to an image such as a jpg or tiff. Then copy that file from excell and paste it in to an other application using a print function. Is there script I can use?

This is supported natively by most programs...just highlight the desired cells, select copy, then select paste once in the desired program. MS Word, Powerpoint, etc let you manipulate the table from within, while photo editors, including even MS Paint, simply insert an image of the cells. If you happen to find a program that doesn't support that, the only thing I can think of is taking a screenshot, and pasting it into any document that supports the image format. Windows can do this natively...just press the ''Prt Scr'' button, then select paste from within the desired program. You can also select from one of the advanced, third-party screen capture utilities listed here.

Hope this helps,
John

To do a screen copy in Windows, you actually have to press Alt-PrtScreen. This puts the entire screen on your clipboard, and you can paste it somewhere else. You also need to be able, in the receiving application, to crop out the extra stuff on the screen - frames, toolbars, etc.
Another way to do what you want is to export the spreadsheet in a form your receiving application can handle, such as .txt. The result will be data that you may be able to massage more easily into the desired format.
