Excel97 Scrolling issue

Dec 22, 2010 9:37AM PST

HELP! I must have hit a key combination and can't get out of the cell. If I use the arrows I stay on the same cell and it just moves the screen up and down and not me! I shut Excel and reopened it and it's still does it even in a new sheet. I tried toggling num lock and insert keys. I've used Excel for 20 years and never had this happen.

I have WinXP sp2, Excel97, Dell E520 Dimension desktop.

Almost sounds like a scroll lock

It was the scroll lock key. Never used it before. Learn something everyday. I went to Excel help-key shortcuts and looked through the list and saw it.

Yep, done it myself.

Many times. Happy

I've never yet found a use for Scroll Lock. I'm sure there must be one.
