Thanks for asking. I kept hearing on the news/weather yesterday about flooding in CT, but haven't seen any myself -- other than a few swampy looking corn fields (I fear they will lose this planting). We're mostly high up and relatively flat where I am so not too worried about flooding or mudslides. Most of the swollen river, flooded streets, overflowing dam footage has been from MA & NH. Although, there was one idiot woman in Hartford that decided she would ignore the police barricade with "road closed, flooding", and -- duh! -- she got stuck! They should have left her there for an hour or so more Devil

It actually seems kinda dry out there this morning. But it is supposed to rain all week. I think by the time I get to mow I'll have to do three passes!

Got the mower fixed yesterday but no idea when I will actually be able to use it.

The rain where I am was not nearly as bad as last fall's flooding, but the Eastern part of the state was devastated apparently.

I'm still dry, but a lot of evacuations going on around here. Many roads are closed. just about every river and stream is over their banks. Traffic is grid lock on most major roads. Couple of old dams are questionable. The small brook 100 ft. down back of my property is like a river. Covered up the end of my sump drain which had me concerned, but it still pumps and has receded this AM. A week ago we were crying for rain it was so dry around here. Somebody cried too much I guess.

I forgot you were in that neck of MA!! Glad to hear you're OK. The pics of the Merrimack on TV are pretty nasty!

Merrimac river isn't connected to our river that runs through town following the main route through the center. Its over the road in a few places but we don't have to deal with the Merrimac or the spigot river or any of its tributories. Those are bad news rivers.

I heard Hookset, NH is marooned. No way in or out in case Glenda is interested.

I would bet their old home might well be flooded by now!
