Question

Every game recording software I've tried just won't work!

So I've had a laptop for a while and I've done some game recording on it, and every thing went fine, but it just isn't a gaming computer *it's a Satellite C655*. Anyway I decided to get a gaming PC a desktop in particular and EVERY game recording software I've tried has some kind of problem. I've tried all the big ones, Fraps, DXTORY, Camtasia, ZD Soft Screen Recorder, you name it. But my question is; Why? Is it possibly my hardware. Well I mean it's obviously my hardware but what in specific could it be? The problems vary: Distorted sound, Low FPS: CTD, etc...

Answer
Split cable, two computers

You do the gaming on one computer, you use screen capturing video program on the second computer.

Answer
Bad capture

Try using am capture. It's not great, but does wonders. You should be able to find here on CNET. I like Fraps myself, but you're having an issue there. Certainly option two would be as suggested, computer to computer capture.

Good luck.
