did you contact JVC tech support yet? it was a scary question on the camcorder
Recently, I successfully uploaded a video -- then unmounted the camcorder. The Everio displayed the following error message
VIDEO MANAGEMENT FILE IS BROKEN TO RECORD/PLAYBACK VIDEO
RECOVERY IS REQUIRED
YES
NO
If I choose No, then I could not used the video function (although stills were still allowed)... So, after entering YES - it appears the FAT was corrupted and only the latest video files were shown on the camcorder screen - although several other videos (taken earlier) were still showing on the MicroDrive when I explored via MyComputer.
Seems the file structure system is suspect. Anyone else experience this? I have little regard for the.MOD files - immediately rename then to .AVI so I can use other software to handle them.
