Although not specifically mentioned in Forum Policy, CNET does not encourage members contacting each other, for privacy reasons. That's why we normally remove 'survey' posts.
I will lock this discussion.
However, I would suggest you use the forum's "Advanced Search" feature to search for posts and discussions about these utilities.
Some notes on searches. For best results increase the "Results per page" to 30, search "All Forums", and limit your search to "This year" to display the more current results. I did a quick search for Registry Cleaners using those parameters and came up with 159 pages of available results.
Why Registry Cleaners? Optimisers often fall into this category and in fact when seeking more details the question is often asked, 'Which registry cleaners/optimisers?'.
I hope that helps.
For a story I'm doing for the NY Times, I'd like to speak to anyone who's used a PC Tuneup service, such as the one offered at Staples, or software such as Norton Live.
I'd like to know your impressions both positive as well as negative? Did they work? Are they worth the money?
I'd want to speak to you on the phone, so let me know how to contact you. You can reach me at eric "dot" taub "at" nytimes.com
