Etymotic ER6 v. Shure e3c....

Dec 7, 2005 4:55AM PST

Ok guys...I've read several reviews on each and they seem to be pretty much all over the place. I though I had resolved to get the Shure's primarily because of the thicker wire and the design (behind the head--less tangling, less microphone effect from contact with wires), as well as a 2 year warranty (versus a one year warranty with Etymotic), but now I'm torn again.

If I can get the ER6's for $40 less, is that the route I should go? Are the ER6's better for bass? Do you think they'll last well past the one year warranty?

Or should I scrap both and go with the much cheaper Sony canalphones (sound like they're pretty good, but lots of durability complaints)?

All opinions welcomed and needed.

Thanks.
