64-bit editions:
1.) Can support more than 4GB of RAM
2.) Require device drivers to be signed
3.) Have fewer drivers available
4.) Are not supported by many security apps
5.) Offer small performance gains with select applications
Thus, unless you're maxed out on memory I'd say stick with x86 to avoid compatibility issues.
