Ethernet/Video Card Problem - Help please!

Feb 24, 2006 11:39AM PST

My internet has been working fine - I just got a new motherboard with ethernet capabilites built it. So, I just installed my spankin' new eVGA GeForce 7800 video card - I turn my computer on and while the video card is working, my ethernet now isn't.

Network connections shows my computer is connected to the router, and if I click 'repair' it does it and says there are no problems. But my internet isn't working. I unplugged the ethernet cable into my laptop, and it works on that, so it can't be the cord.

Also, if I try to maybe update the drivers, it says there's nothing more compatible than what I have.

Any ideas for what to try? I can't imagine what's wrong.
