Question

Ethernet port "auto-negotiation" vs "automatic duplexing"

Mar 16, 2016 9:18AM PDT

I am trying to solve some network performance problems, and suspect that duplex matching may be the cause. We have both managed and unmanaged switches in the network, as well as a couple of routers/APs. One of the APs (Linksys WRT54G) shows that duplexing is set to full, automatically. Does that mean the device is using auto-negotiation?
