Crisi,

Here's someplace to start....

Because Kernel32.dll errors can occur for a variety of reasons, please try the suggestions below:

First, download and install the newest video driver for your machine's video card. You can determine this by RIGHT clicking on "My Computer", choose "Properties", then click on the "Device Manager" tab. When that opens click on the + sign next to the "Display Adapter listing and you will see a specific device listing. Write down the name of that device. Now click once on that device to highlight it, then click on the "Properties" button at the bottom of the window. When that loads, write down the name again, the "Manufacturer's name". Then click on the "Driver" tab and record the "Provider" and the "Date". Look to the manufacturer's website and download and install the newest driver. (If you can't find a new driver, post back, and maybe we can help.)

Second, download, install, update, then run the spyware removal tools below. Delete all spyware that they find. BE AWARE, some "freeware" programs such as KaZaa, may cease to function if they are dependent on the spyware to run. Still, it's safer to find new "freeware" than to keep the spyware:

Ad-Aware 6 Spyware Removal Tool

?Spybot Search & Destroy? Spyware Removal Tool

Hope this helps.

So I assume you can't read your own post, with all those nice special characters, in your own browser. That's annoying to say the least.

Other things to try, besides the suggestions by Grif,
- play with View/Encoding settings (check or uncheck Automatic, choose Western European ISO and Windows and Unicode from 'more ...'
- try another browser for the same page to see if it's a browser problem or a Windows problem (download one from www.mozilla.org, or see if you have a old CD somewhere with Netscape on it)
- it may be a corrupted font: save the html-source of the page to hard disk (possibly on other computer), and edit it (with notepad) to the bare minimum to display the fatal characters, but vary the font (some basic html-knowledge necessary), open each version of your test page in IE on your computer
- try repair IE from Config Panel/Add Remove
- download latest cumulative patch for IE (only 6.0 supported) to see if that may overwrite a damaged dll somewhere

Hope this helps.
