errors

Dec 24, 2011 12:52PM PST

Trying to find where to post an alert to CNet about an error in their webpages is darned near impossible; there is no "contact us" button at the bottom of their webpages. With that and other issues I have with CNet lately, including the next-to-useless but always annoying TechTracker, I'm about ready to divest myself of the entire outfit.

All that aside for now, why can't they and other sites get digital camera dimensions accurate? How many cameras do you know that are 0.2 inches high? Take note, CNet, of your Canon Powershot S95.

To Alert a post
Dec 24, 2011 11:08PM PST

Here is how to alert any post to CNET Forum moderators.
At the very end of your post above, there is a yellow triangle with and exclamation mark (!) inside.

Click on that yellow triangle and you will see a window where you can make your comments and when you send the comment it will be forwarded to all Forum Moderators. One of the moderators will alert the correct CNET group.

Try it now; click on the yellow triangle at the end of your post above.

doesn't fly

Well, thanks for the advice, but like many things at CNet, my effort to "Submit Report" led only to aggravation. Clicking on that button, after writing my complaint in the Comments field, went nowhere. The button appears to be dead... nothing happens. Aaarrgghh! Thanks for trying to help, though.

Just tried it here.

Worked and I got my alert (moderators and CNet staff are the ones that get to see the alert.)

I can only guess your machine has some blocker or other issue.

OK

Thanks, Bob. The "Submit Reply" button works when I reply to posts here, obviously, but not off of the Alert feature's field. I have blockers off for CNet's site. Who knows.
